The collection WE BEGIN BY WRITING / VI BEGYNDER VED AT SKRIVE illustrates fragments of several people's lives through text and photography. The common denominator is that they all resorted to tusche and keystrokes to tell something they don't get to say out loud. Combined with the visual universe, which both complements and illustrates the limitations of written words, the work unfolds through letters, text messages, e-mails and other written communication, involving youth infatuation, crossed boundaries, illness, sexuality, family life, failure, death, survival and birth.

Senders and recipients are anonymous, and the minds behind the words are estimated to be from 13 to 90 years old and geographically located across the country.
