adidas Campus 80s SH

Recouture is an experimental sneaker repair and restoration shop in Tokyo, founded by Shun Hirose. Hirose is at the forefront of a new wave of sneaker customization and upcycling, exemplified by his recent work with adidas’ makerlab project, in which he created 333 pairs of Campus 80’s that sold out instantly. Hirose refurbishes popular sneaker designs with outsoles and tooling from traditional shoe constructions, as well as customizing sneakers with new panelling and stylistic touches.
 
Commonly referred to as the ‘mistake’, Hirose’s original Campus 80’s model was inspired by the idea of an error during a shoe construction, in which two distinctive elements are accidentally combined, creating a unique, clashing colourway. This edition is part of the follow-up ‘correction’ release, offering a more traditional black and white colourway of the Campus 80’s, constructed to Hirose’s strict standards of quality and detail.
